Bella Notte Labradors story begins like so many others: we lost our amazing first Lab, Sage. Sage was a truly wonderful dog and we fell in love with the unconditional love, gentle personality, and even temperament that only a Lab can provide. However, Sage was not the product of OFA Certified parents and had numerous orthopedic issues as she grew older, which unfortunately was likely the product of her being from a backyard breeder.
After we lost Sage, we desperately missed her and knew that our two sons would benefit greatly from having the love of a good Lab
in their lives. Therefore, much time and careful consideration went into our search to find the perfect dog to further expand our family.
Following much searching and deliberation, we found the perfect fit with Donna Stanley of Endless Mt. Labradors and her beautiful dogs. Bella (Endless Mts Alpine Bella Notte) came home to us and is everything we could ask for, and more, in a companion dog for our family. We could not
be more pleased with her temperament and she has developed into a treasured member
of our family.
Due to Bella's exceptional temperament and beautiful appearance, we decided to conduct genetic testing to begin the process of breeding her. Through the Greater Pittsburgh Labrador Retriever Club (GPLRC), we met many wonderful people that supported us in our conformation ring hopes, as well as our breeding desires.
Club member Cheri Herschell of Rebellion Labradors owned an upcoming young male that was an ideal match for Bella named Chief (GCH CH Rebellion's Mischief In Me JH, CA, CGC, WCX). Through him, we had the first generation of Bella Notte Labradors daughters: Bella Nottes Harvest Moon O Mischief and Bella Notte's Pennies From Heaven. We are very pleased with both of these girls and feel that they truly embody the Ideal Companion Dog.
Our breeding program is growing by leaps and bounds and we look forward to the future. With the support of Gerardo and Joan Saldana, we were able to to introduce the Zinfndel Labradors line to our program, while also developing a lasting friendship. They provided us the wonderful opportunity to breed Luna (Bella Nottes Harvest Moon O Mischief) to their amazing male, Big Papi (BISS GCH CH Zinfndel Lengley's Big Papi). This exceptional pairing has produced puppies that possess wonderful temperaments and are highly trainable. We kept a female, Bella Notte's Sunny Side Up, as our future hopeful in our breeding program. We also co-own an amazing male from this pairing that resides with Miranda Schroeder of Buckeye Valley Labradors. "Archie," Bella Notte's Heisman Winner of Buckeye Valley, shows great potential in the conformation ring and is our first Champion Pointed Bella Notte Labrador!
Sally Bell of Borador Labradors was pivotal in adding some European Flare to our breeding program. She had a very impressive male at her kennel that was visiting from Poland named "Banana," American CH, Polish CH, Polish Junior Champion Bruno Banani Bella Mare.
Banana and Luna produced Bella Notte's New Moon Rising, "Sidney"and she certainly inherited a lot of her
father's good looks! We are thrilled with her kind nature and sound structure.
MBISS MBOSS AM/CAN GCH MyKiss Chips' Ahoy WC RN CGC, "Chip" sired Penny's first litter. Tamaria Hartman of MyKiss Labradors has been a wealth of knowledge and
information in our pursuit of Chocolate Labrador puppies. Chip and Penny have produced a wonderful litter of highly intelligent puppies with beautiful conformation! We kept a female, Bella Notte's Buried Treasure, "Indy." She has been an easy going girl from day one. We are looking forward to Indy's future in the show ring!

Our third generation of Bella Notte Labradors arrived in the Spring of 2019. Sunny was bred to Multi BISS GCH CedarLakes Inside Scoop, "Cooper" owned by Anne Thornbury.
Cooper earned a Judges Award of Merit at The Westminster Dog Show in 2019 and has produced many impressive offspring that have been recognized in the notable Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac. Their puppies were absolute show stoppers!
QuailChase Labradors amazing Father and Son team of "Jolly" (BOSS GCH CH Quail Chase Bearcreek Jolly Joe) and "Dominic" (GCH CH Hurley Quail Chase Old Dominion) sired our next two litters in the Spring of 2020. Duke and Tina Donahue were extremely supportive and very invested in the puppies produced by their amazing boys.
Jolly x Penny Puppies
Jolly and Penny had a lovely litter of chocolate puppies that were very easy going like dad, Jolly, yet have their mother's confident and outgoing personality. We are very excited to see what these puppies will grow up to become!
Dominic and Sunny had a beautiful litter of black puppies, which have been some of the most inquisitive and agile puppies we have produced. It will be fun to see what these little athletes excel at as they grow up!
